Kickin Back is located in the heart of Concan, just off popular River Road on a country lane. Across the road is a seasonal lake and a picturesque mountain range. There are no homes to block the mountain views. The property is quite large, with plenty of parking for everyone.
There's something inherently refreshing about sitting and enjoying the front porch mountain views. You'll also find 2 sets of horseshoe pits with cup holders, as well as cowboy golf. Be sure to take in a romantic sunset resting on a heavy duty wooden rocking chairs while surveying the landscape.
Kickin Back is a perfect home for those seeking alfresco living, with a super cool backyard oasis. In the center, there's a custom rock plunge pool with a waterfall that cascades down into a capture pool below. Layout on the double lounge chair while listening to the sound of the waterfall or dine al fresco under the large custom poolside cabana.
There are several relaxation areas over multiple terraces on (3) different levels, all connected by stained concrete walkways. The new 2021 outdoor fireplace sits on the very top terrace for those seeking an quiet escape, a double lounge chair overlooks the pool on the middle terrace and a large cedar wood beamed Cabana with table and chairs is on the bottom.
Professional landscaping is intending to create beauty from every angle. The entire backyard is high fenced for ultimate privacy. Hands down the best poolside feature is the super cool cowboy bathroom, with rustic shower, sink and toilet.
Step inside the living room and you'll find vaulted ceilings and spacious layout, with saltillo tile floors, floor-to-ceiling rock fireplace and leather furnishings. The kitchen is well laid out and dining room is cozy, yet designed as open concept living, with french doors leading to the outdoor patio and poolside entertainment area. The kitchen has stainless appliances, separate wine refrigerator and a charming red screen door pantry closet to hold all your food and goodies.
The spacious master bedroom has lots of windows, king size bed and private ensuite bathroom with separate shower and toilet away from the sinks and dressing area. Bedroom 2 has a queen bed and custom built-in twin bunkbeds. The 3rd bedroom has a full bed and twin bunkbed. There is a convenient second bathroom situated between the 2 bedrooms. There is also a separate utility room with washer & dryer that leads outside.
Easy living and rustic charm lets you really enjoy this get away and the location is only a few minutes to the 2nd river crossing on the Frio River. Great pool home, super location and lots of amenities for the money!

July, 2023 - "Let me start by saying WOW about the outside areas of the property. And I mean AREAS! We watched the stars from the upper deck, cooled off in the pool, played corn hole and such in the front, and used the picnic table to play cup pong. We really didn’t go inside until it was time for bed. Another plus is that they have satellite and wifi! We were able to watch our beloved Astros every night. The inside of the property is rustic, but that’s exactly what our hearts needed at the river. The beds could use some updating, as the mattresses aren’t super comfortable, but when you’re worn out from playing outside, it doesn’t even matter. Great property, and we will definitely be back!"

July, 2022 - "This was our second year to stay at this property and had noticed the kitchen was remodeled which was really nice. Plenty of room for our 2 families. This time around we mostly stayed outside of the property due to the frio being low. Swimming and hanging out by the pool was my favorite part. And if you want to see a beautiful view of the landscape or wildlife just sit upstairs by the fireplace. And while swimming in the pool we were amazed by the hummingbirds and butterflies flying around us. The only downside was the beds could be better. But overall another successful vacation stay!!"

"The home was nice, and clean and the pool was a great plus! the kids loved it. The younger kids ages 2 and 5 were able to play in the overflow splash pool and it was perfect for them and for us to not worry! It all looked bigger in online pics but was still the perfect size for everyone to enjoy. Was hoping for a fire pit to roast marshmellows but we just used the grill instead lol. Staff was super nice, my keys ended up getting locked in my car right at checkout and the guys knew a locksmith to call. Toilets didnt want to flush that great but we were able to just fill up a trash can of water and pour in the toilet and it would flush then. The back yard was a little grown up around the house like it needed to be pruned a little but was still so beautiful! The extra ice box was a plus too because we used it as a drink fridge and the other for normal food. House had everything we needed to be comfortable and enjoy our hill country vacay."
